DowDuPont Transportation & Advanced Polymers (www.plastics.dupont.com.), a business segment of the DowDuPont Specialty Products Division, announced that it is increasing production capacity at its Mechelen, Belgium, site to meet strong customer demand for DuPont Zytel HTN high-performance polyamide resin used in the automotive, consumer and electronics markets.

With a high focus on quality and product consistency, Transportation & Advanced Polymers owns and operates world-scale polymerization and compounding assets at sites in major regions of the world where customers are located to ensure responsive local supply.

The DowDuPont Specialty Products Division has increased its investment at the Mechelen site to install a new production line that will begin operation in the fourth quarter of 2017.

“We continue to invest in our compounding capacity across regions to ensure we can meet the strong growth in demand for highly engineered specialty polymers such as PPAs,” said Richard Mayo, global business director for DowDuPont Transportation & Advanced Polymers. “Investing in this compounding capacity expansion, coupled with recent investments made in Germany and China, demonstrates the traction for our innovative materials and solutions tailored to meet the evolving and often challenging requirements of our customers, wherever they are in the world.”

“Our customers across the globe count on us to reliably deliver high-quality and innovative products to enable their business growth. The continued investment in production capacity in EMEA reinforces our commitment to meet the growing needs of customers in EMEA,” said Rudy van Engen, regional director, DowDuPont Transportation & Advanced Polymers, EMEA.
