The FM-801 formaldehyde meter can be used for continuous monitoring or for conducting 30-min. spot checks. With a measuring range from less than 20 ppb to 1 ppm, the sensor is ideal for indoor air quality (IAQ) applications. The FM-801 sensor can be interfaced with this company’s AdvancedSense meter, or with a tablet computer running this company’s software. It has a reusable sensor cartridge that carries out reactions between formaldehyde and ß-diketone on a porous glass surface. The yellowing that results from this reaction is measured via photoelectric photometry, the company says. At low formaldehyde levels, each sensor cartridge can be reused up to 1,000 times. The formaldehyde meter comes with software, five sensor cartridges, batteries, and a.c. adapter and a mini tripod. — Gray Wolf Sensing Solutions, Shelton, Ct.
