This particulate monitor is EPA-compliant

The continuous-emission monitor and baghouse leak detector from this company incorporates automatic self-checks (zero and span) to eliminate manual calibration audits, as required by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (Washington, D.C.; www.epa.gov). The company says its field-proven technologies offer enhanced reliability compared to older opacity and triboelectric technologies. The advantage is particularly apparent in difficult applications, such as coal, cement, carbon black, pharmaceutical spray dryers and in chemical plants. — FilterSense, Beverly, Mass.
