Safic-Alcan acquires French chemical distributor Laserson

Safic-Alcan Groupe (Puteaux, France;, an international distribution group of chemical specialties, announces today it has acquired Laserson, a French chemical distributor. With this acquisition, Safic-Alcan has further enhanced its market position in the distribution of cosmetic specialty ingredients. Based in Etampes,  France, Laserson achieved sales revenues of €17.5 million in 2012. Safic-Alcan employs 380 people and has affiliates and agents in more than 25 countries in the world. Safic-Alcan recorded global sales of €400 million in 2012.
