Sulzer Chemtech opens sales and engineering office in Brazil

Sulzer Chemtech Ltd. (Winterthur, Switzerland; www.sulzer.com) has opened an office in Brazil to better service its customers in the Brazilian market in the field of products and services for separation, reaction and mixing technology. The new office in Vinhedo near Campinas (Sao Paulo) offers both technical and commercial functions, bringing the advanced solutions in the fields of process and separation technology closer to local customers.

“The opening of this new office is part of our strategy to make our separation, reaction and mixing solutions fully available for both the upstream and the downstream activities of the important and vital Brazilian hydrocarbon industry. This required a stronger local presence and we are now closing this gap“, says Fabrice Billard, head of Sulzer Chemtech’s business unit Mass Transfer Technology.

Now also our customers in the key Brazilian market will be able to benefit from these advantages, as needed in today‘s highly competitive environment”, says Peter Moritz, head of Sulzer Chemtech’s business unit Process Technology.

With the largest portfolio of trays, packing, distributors, separators and mixers, combined with the highest level of application know-how, Sulzer Chemtech allows its customers in the petrochemical and petroleum-refining industry to deliver higher levels of product quality with lower energy consumption and guaranteed column performance.

Process solutions for separation and purification tasks for the chemical, pharmaceutical, biofuels or food & beverage industry are based on an unique and innovative range of technologies: distillation; evaporation; liquid-liquid extraction; crystallization; membrane separation; hybrid solutions; polymer production. Projects are jointly developed with customers and cover the full scope from first concept and pilot testing to an installed plant with guaranteed performance.
