Tailor-made systems for explosion protection

By Chemical Engineering |

IEP Technologies

IEP Technologies

This company’s new holistic approach to explosion protection provides plant operators with a complete range of solutions to protect against dust explosions. The portfolio includes a full range of passive and active explosion-protection systems (photo), allowing security packages to be tailored to each application’s needs. Effective explosion protection is required for the precision of individual components and sub-processes. For example, with the help of sensors inside an industrial plant, a rapid rise in pressure can be rapidly detected in the event of unwanted ignition. The explosion-protection system would then automatically emit a sodium bicarbonate extinguishing agent, which removes the heat from the combustion zone and suppresses the resulting explosion as early as the startup phase. — IEP Technologies GmbH, Ratingen, Germany
