Air Liquide signs major biomethane contract in the U.K.
One of the leading retailers in the U.K., ASDA, has contracted Air Liquide S.A. (Paris, France) to install and operate six biomethane (BioNGV) distribution stations. Alongside other investments to increase Air Liquide’s production and distribution capacities, this major contract marks a significant acceleration in the Group’s development of its biomethane activity in the U.K.»
Neste acquires stake in chemical recycler Alterra Energy
Neste (Espoo, Finland; www.neste.com) announced that it has acquired a minority stake in Alterra Energy, an innovative chemical recycling technology company. Neste’s equity investment supports Alterra Energy’s expansion. The collaboration between the companies will include joint technology development and global technology licensing, enabling the partners to collaborate in commercializing Alterra’s proprietary thermochemical liquefaction technology in Europe.  »
Yara divests fertilizer business stake in Libya
Yara International ASA (Oslo, Norway) has entered into an agreement with Libya’s National Oil Corporation (NOC) and the Libyan Investment Authority (LIA)  to divest its full ownership interest in the Libyan Norwegian Fertiliser Company (LIFECO). »
 
Saipem-Clough JV wins EPC contract for Perdaman urea project in Western Australia
Saipem S.p.A. (San Donato Milanese, Italy), leading an equally shared joint venture with Clough, has signed an EPC agreement with Perdaman Chemical and Fertilizers Pty Ltd for the development of the Burrup Urea Project. It consists of a Urea Fertilizer plant to be installed in the Burrup Industrial Area, on the coastline of Western Australia. »
Mitsubishi Chemical to build pilot facility for carbon-fiber-reinforced thermoplastics
Mitsubishi Chemical Corp. (MCC; Tokyo) announced plans to establish a new pilot facility for carbon-fiber-reinforced thermoplastic (CFRTP). The facility will be located in Fukui Prefecture and is scheduled to start operation by the end of 2021. »

Aramco (Riyadh, Saudi Arabia) announced a strategic alliance with SAP Saudi Arabia to expand the digitalization of its Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems.
