WorleyParsons awarded LyondellBasell project management contract
WorleyParsons Ltd. (North Sydney, Australia; www.worleyparsons.com) has been awarded an Integrated Project Management Team (IPMT) contract by LyondellBasell (Rotterdam, the Netherlands; www.lyondellbasell.com), one of the world’s largest plastics, chemical and refining companies. LyondellBasell proposes to build a propylene oxide and tertiary butyl alcohol (PO/TBA) plant to be located in Channelview and Pasadena, Tex. »
Mitsubishi Chemical and Mitsui Engineering to produce and sell zeolite membranes for U.S. bioethanol market
Mitsubishi Chemical Corp. (MCC; Tokyo; www.m-kagaku.co.jp) and Mitsui Zosen Machinery & Service, Inc. (MZM), a subsidiary of Mitsui Engineering & Shipbuilding Co. have agreed to form a business tie-up to produce and sell zeolite membranes. With the goal of entering new markets and expanding sales, MCC will purchase MZM's entire output of zeolite membranes and hold the sole sales rights. »

Amec Foster Wheeler (London; U.K.; www.amecfw.com) has been awarded a reimbursable engineering, procurement and construction management (EPCM) contract by Anagold Madencilik for the Çöpler Sulfide Expansion Project to expand and extend the life of the Çöpler Gold Mine in the Çöpler District, Erzincan Province, Turkey. Amec Foster Wheeler’s scope of work will include detailed engineering, procurement, construction management services. »
Dow technology selected for new MEGlobal MEG production facility on the U.S. Gulf Coast
The Dow Chemical Company (Midland, Mich.; www.dow.com) announced that MEGlobal, a wholly owned subsidiary of Equate Petrochemical Co., has undertaken a competitive evaluation process and has selected Dow Meteor ethylene oxide/ethylene glycol (EO/EG) process technology and Meteor EO-Retro catalyst to construct its monoethylene glycol (MEG) production facility on the U.S. Gulf Coast. »
Ineos completes acquisition of Inovyn joint venture
Ineos (Rolle, Switzerland; www.ineos.com) has completed its acquisition of the full shareholding in Inovyn, which brings to an end Solvay’s part interest in the company. Ineos and Solvay formed Inovyn as a 50/50 joint venture in July 2015, with Solvay's exit originally planned for July 2018. »
