A DP transmitter to support level and other measurements
SITRANS P320 and P420 devices (photo) can be used for hydrostatic pressure measurement of level in both open and closed vessels. These devices combine high accuracy, fast response and advanced diagnostics with remote access to safety-relevant functions. The series covers gage, absolute and differential pressure and supports level, volume flow and mass flow measurement. This flexibility enables users to apply one transmitter family across many process tasks. Users can read values, configure devices, perform maintenance and support SIL workflows from the control room, reducing field visits, downtime and exposure in hazardous areas. With proof-test intervals of up to 15 years, guided commissioning and clear diagnostics, these transmitters reduce service effort, downtime and total cost of ownership. High accuracy, fast response time and rugged design support stable measurement in chemical, petrochemical and other demanding industries where safety is critical. The SITRANS series offers accuracies up to 0.065% for SITRANS P320 and up to 0.04% for SITRANS P420. The measuring range runs from 10 mbars to 700 bars, depending on the version and measuring cell.
