A new product platform for liquid-measurement needs

| By Mary Page Bailey

The Polaris line of inline process refractometers (photo) can be used for a broad range of industrial liquid-measurement applications. Used for inline liquid-concentration measurements, this process refractometer family is said to be the first fully in-house developed refractometer series that combines both liquid and gas measurement capabilities. The Polaris series includes several dedicated models for various industrial sectors. The PR53AC is designed for hygienic applications in the food-and-beverage and life-sciences sectors. The PR53GP is designed to measure concentrations of sugars, acids, alkaline solutions, alcohols and solvents. The PR53SD measures total dissolved solids in pulp-and-paper processes. Additional models target semiconductor manufacturing, metals and mining and hydrocarbons. — Vaisala Oyj, Vantaa, Finland
