Allseal consists of an opto-electronic sensor that detects wear of the mechanical seals as soon as it begins and immediately warns the operator of any leaks. The system instantly detects if a liquid escapes around the mechanical seal. Unusual leaks trigger acoustic and visual warning signals, which can also be integrated into a centralized control system or forwarded to a monitoring station. Allseal technology is now available for the company’s screw pumps and will be extended to other pumps on a step-by-step basis, says the manufacturer.
