A Variety of Durable Seals for Ball and Roller Bearings

Available in galvanized steel, stainless steel and brass, Nilos rings (photo, p. 64) safeguard ball and roller bearings from the corrosive effects of abrasive particles and debris. The rings can be specified in a wide range of sizes to seal either a bearing’s outer or inner ring, and can be built to withstand circumferential speeds up to 1,000 surface ft/min at the contact diameter. Suitable for a range of industries (such as, mining, paper, agriculture, construction and food and beverage processing), this line of products includes seals for bearings that will operate in extreme-contaminant conditions; spacer rings to promote non-slip clamping; and rings for bearings already equipped with integral shields or seals.
