25 years SensoTech Innovative, reliable, proven – Sonic velocity in process analytical technology In 1990, at a time of political upheaval, the engineers Dr. Ingo Benecke and Mathias Bode founded the SensoTech GmbH in Magdeburg, Germany. With extensive technical knowledge and a passion for technological progress, the potential of sonic velocity measurement for precise determination of liquid concentrations was recognized early. In contrast to conventional measuring methods, the sonic velocity meters provide important advantages including, for example, the use in almost any process liquid, high accuracy, robustness, long-term stability and no maintenance as well as bypass-free installation and the possibility of corrosion-resistant sensor materials. Soon the new LiquiSonic® analyzers have become well-known and gained recognition in the industry. As a pioneer and leading supplier of sonic velocity devices to monitor online liquid concentrations, SensoTech has pointed the way for an easy, safe and efficient inline process analysis. The application fields have been expanded continuously over the years and include industries such as chemical and pharmaceutical, food technology, automotive and metal production, cleaning technology and semiconductor industry. In addition to the concentration measurement, the analyzers are used successfully for phase separation or reaction monitoring, like in polymerizations and crystallizations. And also for other industrial sectors and processes the LiquiSonic® technology opens up unimagined solution possibilities. In 2008, the course was set for building the new headquarters.   Presentation of the LiquiSonic® measuring technology at DuPont's Sulfuric Acid Safety Seminar | April 15, 2015 SensoTech is invited to exhibit Measuring the concentration of sulfuric acid and oleum is an important process parameter to ensure safety, product quality and production efficiency. Therefore, the international chemical company DuPont uses SensoTech’s LiquiSonic® analytical measuring technology. SensoTech, Germany, with a branch in the U.S., is the leading supplier of sonic velocity meters for measuring concentrations in process liquids. Compared to other measuring methods, the LiquiSonic® technology provides best results in sulfuric acid and oleum. SensoTech is pleased to be invited by DuPont to exhibit at the DuPont Sulfuric Acid Safety Seminar on May 12th, 2015, in Wilmington, Delaware, USA. The exhibitors include only a select number of vendors of the approved vendor list. At the seminar, SensoTech will present the LiquiSonic® analyzers, that are used for high-precision concentration measurement in production of sulfuric acid, oleum and fertilizers, synthesis gas drying, ore processing in mining or etching and pickling baths. Sonic velocity, as physical value, offers high measuring accuracy of ± 0.03 m%, low maintenance and extremely robustness. The sensors can be integrated directly into pipes or containers without bypass. The measuring results are stable, updated every second and provided online to the process control system.
Process analytical technology for concentration measurement, phase separation and reaction monitoring | April 1, 2015 ACHEMA, booth F75, hall 11.1 LiquiSonic® technology for analyzing liquids In industrial processes, inline analytical technology is used to monitor critical parameters and to control processes for quality assurance, production efficiency and safety. This increases process reliability, reduces costs of raw material and energy, and  eliminates failed productions. With the LiquiSonic® analytical technology of SensoTech, parameters such as the concentration in process liquids can be monitored. The analyzer is used in almost any liquids of the chemical and pharmaceutical industry, food production, semiconductor technology, metal  production and many more industries. For example, in the chemical industry the LiquiSonic® sensors measure the concentration of sulfuric acid, ammonia, hydrofluoric acid and more chemicals. In  the chlor-alkali electrolysis, the analyzer monitors sodium hydroxide, sodium chloride, hydrochloric acid and sulfuric acid. Also in gas scrubbers, phase separations, neutralizations, dissolvings or blendings, the LiquiSonic® sensors are integrated into the process. In addition, the analyzer monitors complex reactions such as crystallizations or polymerizations. In crystallizations, critical parameters include the saturation degree, the crystal content or the metastable range, whereas in polymerizations the analysis of the polymerization degree is important. The LiquiSonic® technology is based on sonic velocity measurement that provides high-precision and stable measuring results being updated every second. Compared to other measuring methods, sonic velocity devices are extremely robust and maintenance-free, corrosion-resistant by using special materials, and integrable into the process without bypass. LiquiSonic® sensors, made in Germany, are installed directly into pipes of any size or into vessels. The measurment is continuously inline and the results are provided online. The LiquiSonic® controller displays and stores the results. The trend view shows the process status at any time. If the measuring result exceed or fall below thresholds, a signal will be sent immediately. For automated process control, the measuring results can be transferred to the process control system. Via a PC-interface, it is possible to read all data and to create reports and protocols. LiquiSonic® analyzer for liquid concentration measurement The LiquiSonic® inline analyzer of SensoTech measures continuously and precisely the concentration in liquids directly in vessels and pipes without needing a bypass. Applications include, for example, the production of chemicals and pharmaceuticals, the chlor-alkali electrolysis, gas scrubbers, phase separations, crystallizations or polymerizations. The sensors can be integrated into any plant system and various sizes of pipes and vessels. The LiquiSonic® technology is based on sonic velocity measurement providing high measuring accuracy and the advantage of robust and maintenance-free sensors. The measuring results will be updated every second and can be sent online to PCs and process control system.
