In testing by an independent laboratory, Superwool Plus high-temperature thermal insulation has been shown to have a thermal conductivity up to 40% lower than comparable insulation products at 1,000°C. The lower conductivity translates to energy cost savings and reduced carbon footprint for users, the company says. Superwool blankets of various densities (128, 96 and 80 kg/m3) were tested against competitor blankets in accordance with the ASTM standard test method for thermal conductivity of refractories.
