Achieve higher efficiency with this thermal insulation

In testing by an independent laboratory, Superwool Plus high-temperature thermal insulation has been shown to have a thermal conductivity up to 40% lower than comparable insulation products at 1,000°C. The lower conductivity translates to energy cost savings and reduced carbon footprint for users, the company says. Superwool blankets of various densities (128, 96 and 80 kg/m3) were tested against competitor blankets in accordance with the ASTM standard test method for thermal conductivity of refractories. The performance of Superwool allows customers to achieve the same insulation performance at lower densities, the company says, which means significant weight and cost savings. — Morgan Thermal Ceramics, Windsor, U.K.
