The Hydrotwin (photo) is a compact vacuum-pump package that guarantees a vacuum level down to 5 mbar (absolute) — previously not achievable by conventional stand-alone liquid-ring vacuum pumps, says the manufacturer. Capacities of up to 2,000 m3/h can be handled by the system. Developed in cooperation with Bora Blowers, the Hydrotwin minimizes power requirements, with energy savings of 30 – 40% achievable. An optimized control system (DVD2) was jointly developed to operate the booster and liquid-ring pump for optimum performance and safety.
