An alternative to organic extraction is now improved

| By Chemical Engineering

The Model SFT-110 benchtop supercritical fluid extractor is an improved version of this company’s original system. Supercritical fluid extraction is an alternative to traditional extraction methods that use organic solvents. The SFT-110 uses supercritical carbon dioxide and is suitable for research and process development applications. The new version of the product features a redesigned restrictor valve with an integrated micrometer that allows for precise flow control. Also the SFT-110 has a removable oven lid and side panel that allows easy access to the high-pressure vessel. — Supercritical Fluid Technologies Inc., Newark, Del.
