Axens S.A. (Rueil-Malmaison, France) has been awarded a contract by YPF S.A. (Buenos Aires, Argentina), a leading integrated downstream energy provider, for the implementation of a 5,000-m³/day low-sulfur diesel hydrotreater (DHT) unit at YPF’s (Buenos Aires, Argentina) Industrial Complex in Argentina, with Axens’ Prime-D™ technology.
Axens (Rueil-Malmaison, France) will deliver the unit in prefabricated modular form, supporting YPF’s objective to execute this 5,000-m³/day Prime-D™ unit on a fast-track schedule with minimal on-site activity, while maintaining refinery operations.
Axens’ modular prefabrication approach reduces the overall project delivery schedule by six months compared to a conventional stick-built method. Thanks to the integration of pressure vessels, structure, piping, and instrumentation within modules assembled in a dedicated yard, Axens has provided a competitive and de-risked solution, limiting site work and co-activity while optimizing CAPEX.
