Bartec acquires Pixavi

Bartec GmbH (Bad Mergentheim, Germany; www.bartec.de) has acquired Pixavi (Stavanger, Norway), a world leading supplier of mobile communication devices and wireless infrastructure for hazardous areas. The acquisition perfectly complements the Bartec product portfolio, which comprises explosion-proof components and systems, heating technology solutions, measurement and analysis technology as well as electrical engineering for the mining industry. The takeover represents another key milestone within the growth strategy of the internationally active company. Pixavi was established in 1999 with the main focus of creating innovative video collaboration products. Today the company is specialized in the development of Ex-certified cameras, Wi-Fi infrastructure, video conferencing solutions as well as cloud services and provides complete video communication solutions for hazardous areas. It is headquartered in one of the key markets for European oil-and-gas production. Bartec will integrate Pixavi as an independent company into the Bartec Group and will continuously expand it. “This investment is a successful step within the realization of the growth strategy of the Group”, stresses Ralf Köster, CEO of the Bartec Group.…
