The new production line enables BASF to better serve the architectural coatings and construction industries by providing low-VOC (volatile organic compound) dispersions, which improve indoor air quality. The Dilovası site has also implemented the Mass Balance approach, enabling the production of dispersions with a reduced carbon footprint. The entire facility will operate on green electricity, further demonstrating BASF’s commitment to helping its customers achieve the green transformation.

Dr. Jörg Niebergall, Senior Vice President of Dispersions Europe, stated, “With the start up of the new production line in Dilovası, we are well positioned to meet our customers’ growing demand for innovative dispersions in Türkiye, the Middle East, and Northwest Africa. This expansion is a valuable addition to our regional production network, strengthening our resilience and capability to supply high-quality dispersions to all our customers. Our ability to deliver strongly CO2-reduced products from our site in Dilovası clearly shows our ambition to be the preferred chemical company to enable our customers’ green transformation.”

Bahadir Bayraktar, Site Manager of Dilovası, added, “Our key objectives are to improve our supply reliability, increase product volume, and provide flexibility within the production lines. I am proud that our new technology will enable us to deliver low-VOC dispersions to the market.”

With a history of 55 years, the Dilovası site is strategically located near Istanbul, strengthening BASF’s regional production network and improving supply reliability across the region. The latest expansion is in line with BASF’s broader sustainability objectives.
