Chementator: This new-generation HPLC system is faster and offers more resolving power

By Chemical Engineering |

Last month, Agilent Technologies, Inc. (Palo Alto, Calif.; edlinks.chemengonline.com/5826-546) launched the 1200 Series liquid chromatography (LC) system, replacing its predecessor, the 1100 Series LC. With more than 60 instrument modules available, the 1200 Series can be configured for all major LC applications, including a new rapid-resolution format and the company’s chip-based LC. For example, the nanospray HPLC-Chip/mass-spectroscopy (MS) technology is said to provide users with more that a 1,000-fold improvement in sensitivity over conventional LC/MS systems, says the firm. Analysis times for the 1200 Series Rapid Resolution System are up to 20 times faster than that of conventional LC, and the resolution is 60% higher, says Agilent. A high-throughput configuration enables the system to perform more than 2,000 samples per day.   Click here for a full pdf version of the Chementator Section
