Chementator: Waste-to-oil

By Chemical Engineering |

Last month, Clyvia Technology GmbH (Wegberg, Germany; edlinks.chemengonline.com/5830-548), a fully owned subsidiary of Clyvia Inc. (Las Vegas, Nev.), was granted a German patent for its proprietary fractional depolymerization process for converting waste material into heating oil and diesel fuel. The process utilizes waste oil, detergent oil and plastics in a procedure that is similar to cracking of crude oil. A pilot facility is under construction at Wegberg-Wildenrath, Germany, and is slated to start up this month.   Click here for a full pdf version of the Chementator Section
