By Mary Page Bailey |

Cortec Corp. (St. Paul, Minn.; www.cortecvci.com) has announced an expansion of its EcoCortec brand in Europe. At its plant  located in Beli Manastir, Croatia, the company has recently introduced a new extrusion line with higher capacity, boosting the plant’s production capacity of Cortec’s innovative Vapor-phase Corrosion Inhibitor (VpCI) films by 50%.

EcoCortec has also begun the second phase of the plant’s planned construction and expansion, which includes a new production hall with three new extrusion lines, branding of VpCI paper and storage of Cortec chemical products.

EcoCortec specializes in manufacturing Cortec’s innovative VpCI films. The plant’s products are exported to all European countries, as well as Asia. The EcoCortec plant in Beli Manastir is the largest VpCI plant in Europe.

EcoCortec will also warehouse Bionetix biological products. Bionetix International is a Canadian company wholly owned by Cortec that manufactures microbial-based bio-products.
