Electrical enclosures can be modified to add height

Hammond Manufacturing

Hammond Manufacturing

This company’s standard 72-in.-tall cabinets and enclosures (photo) can be customized to a height of 90-in., to meet user requirements, when floor space is limited but vertical space is available. The company has modified its two-door, floor-standing 1422 and HN4FM series, and the single-door free-standing 1418 and HN4FS series (to 90-in. height), all of which are available in either painted mild steel, or 304 or 316L stainless steel construction. When used to house control or electrical equipment, the larger surface area of the taller metal cabinets also improves conduction, which can help to reduce cooling needs and thus reduce energy use. — Hammond Manufacturing Co., Cheektowaga, N.Y.
