This liquid-level-limit switch is suitable for hazardous areas
Vibracon LVL M3 and M4 (photo) are vibration limit switches designed to detect the fill level of liquids. The M3 and M4 series switches have ATEX and IECEx approvals, so they can be used in hazardous areas worldwide. The LVL-M3 version is suitable for universal use in all pumpable liquids. The vibration limit switch can withstand process temperatures of between –40 and 150°C and process pressures of up to 40 bars. The LVL-M4 version is ideal for safety applications up to SIL-3. The sensor is resistant to process temperatures between –50 and 150°C, and process pressures of up to 100 bars. A special highlight of the LVL-M4 version is its Bluetooth® interface, which can be used to connect the device to this company’s level mobile app. This mobile app offers a wide range of options, from the status and fault indicator to proof testing. Vibracon vibration limit switches have no mechanically moving parts and therefore have an especially long useful lifetime. — Pepperl+Fuchs SE, Mannheim, Germany
