Continuous leak detection monitoring for gas pipelines

This company’s AI-enhanced pipeline integrity monitoring and leak detection technology (photo) has been proven to accurately detect leaks without the risk of false positives. The technology first uses high-frequency pressure sampling and pressure analysis to detect subtle changes in pressure within the pipeline. With edge computing, the system can locate possible leaks and obstructions. Layered onto the detection system is a machine-learning (ML) model that has been trained on human-curated pipeline data. The ML model can distinguish between normal pipeline operational noise and small pressure shifts and anomalies that result from leaks and other problems, allowing the elimination of false-positive results from pipeline leak detection. — PipeSense, Houston, Tex.
