Reducing wear on pneumatic conveying lines
This company’s Smart Elbow® serves to deflect high-speed solid material in pneumatic conveying lines, thus minimizing abrasion and wear on the surface of the pipe. The design is an alternative to a traditional sweep elbow, and features an extended chamber in line with the incoming solids. The rounded chamber creates a rotating area of air-suspended solids that cushion the material entering the curve, preventing the impact of abrasive solids on the pipe surface (photo).
