These low-profile scales are hygienic

The PHD779 series (photo) is a set of floor scales designed for hygienic operations. The low-profile platforms of the PHD779 units alleviate the most common challenges associated with floor scales, the company says. With in-process accuracy of up to 60,000 d, users can weigh with tighter tolerances to reduce product waste and improve profitability. The PHD779lift floor scale, with a fully sealed bottom plate and unique failure-proof lifting functionality, reduces cleanroom hazards and helps protect operator and consumer safety. Its innovative design allows for 100% visual inspection and eliminates the risk of water ingress in frequent washdown applications. The PHD779lift has also been certified by the Fraunhofer Institute. The PHD779mobile enables users to efficiently move the scale to a different station, relocate it when cleaning or quickly reconfigure the work area. — Mettler Toledo, Greifensee, Switzerland
