Ineos Technologies (Rolle, Switzerland; www.ineos.com) has licensed its Innovene PP process for the manufacture of polypropylene (PP) homopolymers, random copolymers and impact copolymers to the Full-Tech (Changzhou) Chemistry & Development Co., a subsidiary of Fund Energy Investment Holdings Co. in Changzhou, China. The Innovene PP plant will produce 300,000 metric tons per year (m.t./yr) of PP for a wide range of products to serve the growing market in China. The feedstock for the polypropylene plant will be produced using locally sourced propylene via a Methanol-to-Olefins (MTO) process.
