IFF to sell soy and lecithin business to Bunge

| By Mary Bailey

As part of its second quarter results disclosure, International Flavors & Fragrances Inc. (IFF; New York City) announced that it has entered into a definitive agreement to divest its soy crush, concentrates, and lecithin business to Bunge Global S.A. (Geneva, Switzerland). The transaction—expected to close by year-end 2025—includes operations that generated approximately $240 million in revenue in 2024 and employs around 250 people globally. The sale aligns with IFF’s strategy to strengthen its portfolio and supports the ongoing evaluation of strategic alternatives for its Food Ingredients segment, with a focus on maximizing shareholder value. Financial terms of the deal have not been disclosed. Earlier this year, IFF also divested its Nitrocellulose business.
