Your custom web seminar will include an introduction to the topic from Chemical Engineering’s Editor-In-Chief, Nick Chopey, who will serve as the program host. This will be followed by a presentation by an executive at your company. Presentations will be on PowerPoint with simultaneous audio. At the end of the presentation there is an interactive question and answer period between the audience and host, followed by closing comments. It is recommended that Web Seminar presentations be no longer than 60 minutes.

After your event airs, you’ll be receive a full report on the demographics of the attendees; plus any questions asked during the presentations will be captured. Polling of the audience is available. You’ll also receive a list of both pre-registered and actual attendees, by name and e-mail address.

Webcast – How it works

6 weeks prior to webcast

From Presenter:

  • Commitment to a speaking date. This is very important because it’s mentined on the webcast invitation which will go out 4 weeks prior to webcast. (Consider a backup speaker)
  • Title and description of presentation with bullet points of interest.
  • Speaker picture and bio (optional but helpful)

4 weeks prior to presentation

  • Webcast invitation sent by Chemical Engineering’s E-media team. A total of 3 invitations will be sent out (4 weeks, 2 weeks and 2 days before event date)

2 weeks prior to presentation

  • From Presenter: PowerPoint presentation consisting of compelling graphics and/or details pertinent to the topic. It should consist of at least 20 to 50 slides . Please note that your actual speaking time will be aproximately 40 to 45 minutes.

2 days before event

  • REHEARSAL: To familiarize the speaker with the technical process of the webcast. It is advisable for the speaker to have an assistant on hand to help with questions and answers during the Q & A session.
