Keyuan Petrochemicals Inc. (Ningbo, China; www.keyuanpetrochemicals.com), an independent manufacturer and supplier of petrochemical products in China, today announced that one of its production lines for styrene-butadiene-styrene (SBS) copolymers has commenced commercial production after successful trial production and testing late last year.
The Company began construction of its new 70,000-ton/y SBS production facility in September 2010 and completed construction in September 2011. The company says it has shipped products to 20 customers and is in active discussions with several more. Keyuan expects to ramp up production and sales throughout the year
