Lukoil opens lubricants plant in Kazakhstan

Last month, PJSC Lukoil (Moscow, Russia; www.lukoil.com) opened a new lubricants plant in the Almaty region  in the Republic of Kazakhstan. The new plant has an annual output of 100,000 metric tons. The plant will produce more than 800 different lubricants, including Lukoil Genesis, which features innovative molecular technology and is approved by the world major automobile makers.

The location of the facility makes it possible to optimize the logistics of Lukoil’s lubricants supplies in Kazakhstan and other countries of Central Asia. The highest level of process automation allows for producing and shipping lubricants to the customer within 24 hours while the laboratory equipped to the latest standards guarantees the highest quality of products.

The project was implemented in strict compliance with the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan and international health, safety and environment standards. The plant was designed and built having in mind the potentially high seismic activity at the site.

The lubricant plant will offer more than 200 jobs for citizens of Kazakhstan, including graduates of Kazakh universities.
