New and flexible solutions for coarse grinding

The multi-purpose crusher MPC 150 (photo) offers three common grinding processes in module form that can be fitted onto a basic unit: a conical mill for soft to medium-hard materials; a flake crusher for brittle materials that crush easily; and a hammer mill for solid materials that are difficult to crush. These modules for all three processes can be quickly exchanged with only one tool. In addition, the modules are very easy to dismantle and clean — there are no threads or screw heads installed in the sections that come into contact with the product. Dependent on the grinding process, the size of available screens ranges between 0.3 and 20 mm. Especially in the extremely fine particle range, these screens offer application possibilities that were rarely possible before, says the manufacturer. As a function of the mill type, the peripheral speeds range between 1 and 60 m/s. Most applications are operated in the range between 1 and 20 m/s. — Hosokawa Alpine AG, Augsburg, Germany
