Conductive and anti-static materials provide benefits

This company offers a broad range of structural thermoplastic elastomers, compounding and custom-engineering expertise, to support the manufacture of pipes, hoses, tubing and fittings that are able to meet the most exacting engineering standards. Its extrudable, conductive compounds (available in a range of elastomers and rigid base polymers) provide high-electrical conductivity and electrostatic discharge (ESD) protection (thereby dissipating charges before they are able to reach potentially dangerous levels). These compounds can be used in the manufacture of vacuum hose, conductive pipe, ESD tubing, and fittings that must have consistent, high electrical conductivity. This is achieved by uniform carbon black dispersion, even in thin extrusions, says the company.— RTP Co., Winona, Minn.
