Redesigned check valves feature a guided cone

| By Chemical Engineering

The check valves type 561 and 562 have been redesigned and complement this company’s line of plastic valves. The standard cone check valve (type 561) seals with medium pressure. Type 562 is equipped with a spring, closes autonomously and can be installed in any position. The inner workings of the valves were developed and designed to comply with market specifications. Efficiency was improved and the wear and tear on moving parts reduced, thereby lowering costs for users, says the manufacturer. Instead of using a check ball, the new valves rely on a specialized guided cone, with geometry designed for optimal flow and minimal pressure loss. — Georg Fischer Piping Systems Ltd., Schaffhausen, Switzerland
