Regulate Unscheduled Flare-Gas Events with this Sensor

| By Chemical Engineering

The SOLA Flare is a total sulfur analyzer system intended to provide a realtime response, remotely via the internet, to sudden shifts in the composition of a flare-gas feedstream — as well as a solution for potential sample condensation. Its immediate measurement and response allow users to reduce emissions penalties, fines and laboratory analysis fees. Based on the firm’s SOLA II platform, the device is comprised of two analyzers, one for both low- and high-range measurement; and it covers the required measuring range from 10 to 150,000 ppm. — Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc., Waltham Mass.
