Show Preview: Clean Americas

| By Mary Page Bailey

CLEAN Americas Week (Dallas, Tex.; Nov. 9–11) is the culmination of the decades of experience and community built by three legacy events — CLEAN Gulf, CLEAN Waterways and CLEAN Pacific. The three events have now been combined for the first time to encompass broader environmental response and resilience topics across the Americas. The event will feature a comprehensive technical program and an exhibit hall with over 80 exhibitors hosting live demonstrations, interactive activations and more. Below is a small selection of the exhibitors at the event.

This compact skimmer tackles industrial oil recovery

MiniMax is a compact drum skimmer (photo) that is designed for industrial, food-oil processing and wastewater applications. MiniMax skimmers are capable of recovering both light and heavy oils with very low water content — typically only 2–3%. The standard MiniMax features a high-density polyethylene frame that resists many chemicals encountered in lagoons, sumps, separators and oil pits. Configurations are also available for acidic environments, while a stainless-steel model provides resistance to higher temperatures and corrosive conditions found in food-oil processing applications. Self-adjusting scrapers compensate for wear, and the motor, gearbox and drums are engineered for long-term operation. Available with pneumatic or hydraulic drive and a choice of oil pumps, the 50-lb MiniMax offers a recovery rate of up to 20 gal/min, providing a portable and adaptable solution for industrial facilities seeking efficient oil removal. Booth 101 — Elastec, Inc., Carmi, Ill.

Featuring a marine-grade aluminum hull, hydraulic-driven outdrives and a diesel engine, the Aqua-Gator is engineered to navigate challenging waterways while supporting debris removal, aquatic vegetation management and environmental maintenance. Its versatile design and remote-control-ready capabilities make it an effective solution for operations in marshes, wetlands, industrial waterways and other difficult-to-access environments.
