Syensqo S.A. (Brussels, Belgium) announced the completion of a significant compounding capacity expansion at its Changshu plant. This strategic initiative includes compounding lines for several products, such as Amodel® PPA, Ryton® PPS, Kalix® HPPA, Omnix® HPPA, and Ixef® PARA, which are widely used in the e-mobility, semiconductors, smart devices and healthcare markets.
The expanded capacity, now fully operational, is split across multiple production lines from customized small-batch production to standardized large-scale manufacturing.
“The expansion of our Changshu plant represents a key step in our desire to serve our local customers. The Chinese electric vehicle and smart device industries are experiencing rapid growth, presenting significant market potential and diverse demands. Syensqo remains customer-centric by optimizing production capacity layouts and leveraging advanced smart manufacturing technologies, to enable the development of advanced applications,” said Frank Wang, Site Manager of Syensqo Changshu.
Since its inception 17 years ago, the Syensqo Changshu plant has undergone four major expansions. The new capacity expansion will further enhance Syensqo’s ability to supply the Chinese market. Syensqo also recently announced plans to expand its compounding capabilities at its site in Augusta, Ga. in the U.S.
