By Gerald Ondrey |

Technip (Paris, France; www.technip.com) has been awarded two contracts by Hindustan Petroleum Corp. (HPCL) for its diesel hydrotreater project in the Visakh petroleum refinery, on the east coast of India. The two contracts, which are scheduled to be completed by the first half of 2012, will be executed by Technip’s operating center in New Delhi, India.   The first, worth approximately €50 million, covers the license as well as the engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning (EPCC) for a hydrogen generation unit with a capacity of 36,000 ton/yr.   The second contract, worth around €65 million, is for the EPCC of a diesel hydrotreater unit with a capacity of 2.2 million ton/yr.
