The Nibbler GNB lump breaker is now available in a gas-tight model. Devised to allow automated particle size reduction to be integrated in pneumatic conveying lines, the gas-tight lump breaker combines a stainless-steel pressure vessel housing, heavy-duty geared motor, and specialized seals based on the application to match the pressure generated by the sending vessel. The gas-tight, dust-tight Nibbler GNB safely accommodates a maximum pressure rating of 1.5 bars.

Installed upstream of the conveyor pickup point, the high-pressure Nibbler GNB automatically reduces dry and wet solids to a preset particle size ranging from 1mm to 25mm to ensure proper formation of the pulsed slugs required for smooth, efficient material transfer in dense phase pneumatic conveying. The rugged lump breaker features a proprietary, rotating paddle assembly that cuts the material instead of grinding, shears it through a screen, and harnesses the compressed air pressure to prevent screen blinding, all without generating excess heat or using excess energy.
