This pressure sensor can take on many monitoring roles

| By Mary Page Bailey

With its all-in-one design, the DPS+ pressure sensor (photo) can act as a differential pressure switch (DPS), differential pressure transducer, pressure transducer, filter wash controller, data logger and more. The product boasts a compact size, making it suitable for monitoring and controlling pressure differences with any flow media, including water and air. DPS+ is equipped with technology that monitors flow and measures pressure differences by recording “high” (pre-flow constraint) and “low” (post-flow constraint) pressures. It uses its own microprocessor to analyze the data and activate the built-in switch, sending an electric signal when the pressure difference reaches the pre-set value. The product’s transducer transmits an analog signal in response to high, low or differential pressures. — Rotal Innovative Technologies, Kfar-Saba, Israel
