Toyo awarded energy-optimization project at Sabic

Toyo Engineering Corp. (Toyo; Chiba, Japan; www.toyo-eng.co.jp) was awarded an energy optimization project for one of Saudi Basic Industries Corp.’s (Sabic; ; Riyadh, Saudi Arabia; www.sabic.com) existing ammonia plant and pack age boilers at Al-Jubail Fertilizer Co. (Al-Bayroni) in the eastern region of Saudi Arabia.The plant has a production capacity of 1,300 metric tons per day of ammonia. The plant has been operating since 1983. Toyo will use its experience and capabilities with similar ammonia plants and package boilers to reduce and optimize the energy consumption. The project implementation is expected to be completed in 2Q 2013. Toyo’s scope of work includes engineering, procurement, construction, pre-commissioning and commissioning assistance.
