Trelleborg AB (Trelleborg, Sweden) has signed agreements to acquire two companies in separate transactions: M+R Dichtungstechnik GmbH (Seligenstadt, Germany), a manufacturer of customized rubber profiles and molded components for the construction and renewable energy industries, through its Trelleborg Industrial Solutions business area; and Cascade Gasket and Manufacturing Company Inc. (Auburn, Wash.), a specialist in aerospace sealing and fastening components, through its Trelleborg Sealing Solutions business area. The M+R acquisition has been signed and completed simultaneously; the Cascade agreement remains subject to customary closing conditions.
M+R Dichtungstechnik — Trelleborg Industrial Solutions
M+R Dichtungstechnik’s product portfolio consists primarily of extruded rubber profiles for the construction industry, including architectural facade seals, as well as solutions for solar and wind power applications and other industrial sectors. The company specializes in developing innovative, tailored profile solutions to meet specific customer requirements. Sales are generated primarily in Central Europe and amounted to just over SEK 85 million for the full year 2025. The sellers are Semperit AG Holding (Vienna, Austria), an Austrian-listed global provider of industrial elastomer and polymer solutions, and the company’s minority shareholder.
“M+R Dichtungstechnik particularly strengthens Trelleborg’s presence in facade profiles in Germany, Europe’s largest construction market. The company’s offering of advanced, customized solutions is also fully aligned with Trelleborg’s strategy. In addition, the acquisition is expected to deliver synergies through both revenue growth opportunities and cost efficiencies,” said Jean Paul Mindermann, President of Trelleborg Industrial Solutions (Trelleborg, Sweden).
Cascade Gasket and Manufacturing Company — Trelleborg Sealing Solutions
Founded 80 years ago, Cascade Gasket has established itself as a supplier of original equipment to leading aircraft manufacturers and maintains a strong presence in the aftermarket. The company specializes in advanced solutions for critical sealing and fastening components used to ensure the proper assembly and securing of equipment and systems in aircraft. Product development and manufacturing take place at a facility featuring 3D printing technology and advanced material testing equipment.
Trelleborg already operates two manufacturing facilities in the Seattle area producing advanced components for the aerospace industry. Cascade generated sales of just over SEK 300 million in 2025, with most sales to North American customers. This acquisition further strengthens Trelleborg’s position in a prioritized growth segment with attractive long-term market prospects.
“Through the acquisition, we expand our product portfolio for the aerospace industry with, among other things, silicone components and solutions that ensure safe and correct installation of equipment and systems. The combination of Cascade’s capabilities and Trelleborg’s global presence is expected to generate positive sales synergies worldwide. We also welcome a well-invested operation characterized by deep expertise and long-standing customer relationships,” said Jürgen Bosch, President of Trelleborg Sealing Solutions (Trelleborg, Sweden).
The global aerospace industry is currently experiencing a growth phase expected to continue for many years. In recent years, Trelleborg has completed several acquisitions and investments that further strengthen its offering and presence in this segment. A recent example is the new production facility in Casablanca, Morocco, which became operational in June 2026 and manufactures polymer seals for aircraft.
