Uhde Inventa-Fischer wins contract for PA-66 plant

The Huafon Group — the biggest producer of polyurethanes in China — has chosen Uhde Inventa-Fischer (Berlin, Germany and Domat/Ems, Switzerland; www.uhde-inventa-fischer.com) as supplier for its latest project, a PA-66 plant to be built in Zhejiang Province, People’s Republic of China. The plant will have an annual capacity of 40,000 metric tons and will use Uhde Inventa-Fischer’s proprietary polyamide 66 batch process. The plant for Huafon includes batch polymerization, continuous AH-salt preparation and continuous SSP. Uhde Inventa-Fischer’s scope of supply and services includes the license, the basic engineering, supply of equipment and supervision of the erection and commissioning activities.
