Univation Technologies, LLC (Houston) and Hindustan Petroleum Corp. Ltd. (HPCL) completed a pre-marketing agreement (PMA) focused on polyethylene products that will be manufactured using the two new world-scale UNIPOL PE Plants licensed to HPCL Rajasthan Refinery Ltd. (HRRL). Through this agreement, Univation and HPCL have agreed to work together to introduce polyethylene resin grades with a particular focus on high-density polyethylene (HDPE) products that are suited for the Indian market.
The agreement facilitates the introduction of the latest HDPE resin products produced by the UNIPOL PE Process into targeted market segments within the Indian market. These advanced resin grades will utilize Univation’s PRODIGY Bimodal HDPE and ACCLAIM Unimodal HDPE Technology Platforms. These HDPE grades will be produced by HRRL’s two new world-scale 500,000 tons per year UNIPOL PE Process lines expected to start-up in the first quarter of 2024. The scope of the Pre-Marketing Agreement focuses on both bimodal and unimodal HDPE applications including PE100 pipe, L-ring drum, large part blow molding, and bimodal small part blow molding applications.
