Valves for controlling the flow of corrosive media

| By Chemical Engineering

For applications requiring control valves that are capable of withstanding the effects of highly corrosive media, the Badger RC250 barstock valves (photo) are said to be the ideal choice. The valves are available in a range of materials, including stainless steel, Hastelloy, Monel and titanium, and will handle flows from 100 to 8,000 L/h at pressures up to 9 bars. RC250 valves features: linear or equal percentage trims, Hastelloy C and tantalum trims, Kynar trim Cvs from 6.0 to 0.05; and metallic trim Cvs from 6.0 to 0.0000018. — Pump Engineering Ltd., Littlehampton, U.K.
