WorleyParsons awarded detailed EPCM contract by Invista

WorleyParsons Ltd. (North Sydney, Australia; www.worleyparsons.com) announces the recent award of an engineering, procurement and construction management (EPCM) contract by Invista for the development of a new hexamethylene diamine (HMD) plant at Shanghai Chemical Industrial Park. The plant will produce 215,000 ton/yr of HMD, which will serve the fast growing Asia Pacific markets for a variety of nylon 6,6 applications and high performance polyurethanes. Production is scheduled to commence in 2015. WorleyParsons’ team in Shanghai will work with Invista to ensure all project goals and objectives are met with a focus on delivering value add solutions. The team will also take the lead in applying in-house knowledge and expertise to ensure efficient local delivery.
