These hoppers keep conveyors fed without interruption

This company offers custom hoppers that automatically start feeding when loaded and automatically shut off when empty (photo). Featuring designed-in high-level rotary switches, the steel hoppers begin discharging when material tops a preset level and sound an alarm when material needs to be added to prevent the system from running dry. Material flows from hopper discharge to conveyor infeed without interruption while safeguarding the conveying system from the risk of excessive heat buildup and wear. The custom hoppers also include fittings for air diffusers to permit future flexibility in transferring non-free-flowing materials such as starches, salts and animal feed supplements. The hoppers can be fitted with vibrators, dust-control covers, stainless-steel construction, sanitary finish and other options in varying dimensions to suit nearly any material properties and throughput targets. — Automated Flexible Conveyor, Clifton, NJ.
