WorleyParsons Ltd. (North Sydney, Australia; www.worleyparsons.com) has been awarded a project management consultancy (PMC) contract by PT Pertamina (Persero). Under the contract, WorleyParsons will provide PMC services to Pertamina for EPC Packages for the Refinery Development Master Plan (RDMP) Project Refinery Unit (RU) V – Balikpapan in Indonesia.

Under the RDMP program, Pertamina expects to build new processing units for the existing RU V – Balikpapan Refinery and to expand the refinery’s existing capacity to produce high-quality fuel products. Pertamina also plans to upgrade the Lawe-Lawe terminal to include new facilities for unloading from tankers, a crude storage tank, utility units and a crude transfer line to RU V – Balikpapan Refinery.

The services will be executed by WorleyParsons Indonesia with support from our global offices.

“We are pleased that Pertamina has chosen WorleyParsons for this significant Indonesian project and we look forward to supporting the refinery expansion program”, said Andrew Wood, Chief Executive Officer.
