Dupont (Wilmington, Del.) announced that the Dupont Kingston Technology Centre located in Ontario, Canada, is producing and distributing hand sanitizer to fight the spread of COVID-19 in the local community. To date, more than 4,000 L of hand sanitizer has been produced and is being donated to support area hospitals, clinics, and small businesses. An additional 2,500 L of hand sanitizer will be produced and distributed later this month. Many other chemical companies have initiated production of hand sanitizers to help fight COVID-19, including Shell, ExxonMobil, Axalta,  BASF, PPG, Johnson Matthey, Lanxess, Indorama, Honeywell and many more.

“I am so proud of our colleagues who have stepped up to answer the call by utilizing our technical capabilities to produce and distribute hand sanitizer as a way to combat the spread of the COVID-19 virus,” said Wendy Andrushko, DuPont Canada President.

“For over 65 years, the site has called the Kingston community and the surrounding Frontenac County home. The health, safety and well-being of our employees, customers and our local community continue to be our top priority during this unprecedented time.”

“We are all in this together, and the Centre is proud and humbled to work with our many community partners, including Spearhead Brewing Company and local health care providers, to distribute essential materials to those who are most in need,” said George Jacob, Site Leader, DuPont Kingston Technology Centre.
